Mozart & Casper Legacy Fund

Friends of Seattle Veterinary Outreach,

We are excited to introduce the "Mozart & Casper Legacy Fund," which has been generously established by a dedicated donor, who shares our commitment to supporting pets in need. This fund will allow us to provide additional veterinary care beyond mobile clinics, offering diagnostics and interventions to enhance the quality of life for select patients.

Mozart and Casper, two cats with distinct personalities, had an extraordinary bond. They grew up together, with Mozart as the protective older brother, for nearly 17 years of their lives. Their playful antics and affectionate nuzzles were a testament to their deep connection. Their owner found joy and comfort in their companionship, relying on them as confidants during challenging times.

Tragically, Casper passed away in December 2023, and a heartbroken Mozart soon followed. Their grieving owner was struck by the impact of the loss of these two very special cats. This led her to consider how losses such as this would impact others who were already vulnerable and might not have access to medical care for themselves, let alone their pets. And so, out of great loss, a program was created offering great hope and solace. The "Mozart & Casper Legacy Fund" was created to support procedures and veterinary treatments that surpass the capabilities at our mobile outreach clinics.

The fund honors the profound impact pets like Mozart and Casper have on our lives, while increasing the quality of life for pets of people living unhoused or low-income. By supporting this legacy fund, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of other pets and their owners, while celebrating the deep connection between humans and animals.
