Alert: Wednesday 11/20 Outreach Clinic Cancelled
At Seattle Veterinary Outreach, we don’t shy away from cold, wet weather! However, due to the current windstorm and power outages, we have made the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow’s outreach clinic.
From our experience, it’s better to cancel the night before than the morning to accommodate client transportation needs. Canceling the day of often leads to upset, as many clients have already made difficult journeys. Additionally, staff and volunteers may face significant transportation issues due to fallen trees, and if the wind continues into the morning, it will pose serious safety risks to everyone involved, including clients, volunteers, and staff.
We do not take cancellations lightly, as we know how much people and their pets depend on us for care. If you are currently in an urgent situation with your pet, please email us directly at vetteam@seattlevet.org for assistance.
We hope everyone stays safe, and that this storm blows through with less impact than anticipated. Thank you for your understanding.
Attention Community Members: Important Information
At Seattle Veterinary Outreach, we strive to provide quality care to as many pets as possible. Please take note of the following details regarding our service:
1. First Come, First-Serve Basis: Our service operates on a first come, first-serve basis. Due to the high demand, we highly recommend arriving early to secure a place in line. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
2. Limited Spaces: Please be aware that spaces are limited, and unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that everyone will be seen. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Rest assured, our team will do their best to accommodate as many pets as possible.
3. Two Pets per Family Limit: To ensure fair access and provide equal opportunities to all, we have implemented a limit of two pets per family. We kindly request your cooperation in complying with this policy.
4. Code of Conduct: A code of conduct applies to all community members visiting our clinic. This is a safe space and we kindly request that everyone respects our staff, other visitors, and maintains a safe and calm environment for the pets in our care. Any aggression, cursing, or yelling at staff or community members will result in your pet not being seen that day.
5. Stay Informed: Prior to attending any clinic, we strongly advise checking our website or designated page for any updates. Staying informed will help you stay updated on any changes or additional information that may arise.
Thank you for your support and cooperation as we continue to serve our community's beloved pets. Together, we can make a positive impact on their health and well-being.

Clinic Cancellations are possible if weather is extreme
Out of an abundance of caution for the health of the pets and people we serve, SVO has instituted the following weather guidelines:
Conditions are checked at 4pm the night before each clinic and updates are made to our website and Facebook to highlight clinic cancellations. We will also notify clinic hosts so they can post on-site.
Clinics may be cancelled if:
The daytime temperature maximum or minimum is predicted to be above 90 degrees or below 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
The Air Quality Measurement is predicted to be Unhealthy.
We apologize for any inconvenience, but our first priority is the immediate safety of you and your pet.
