Mobile Health Outreach

Seattle Veterinary Outreach (SVO) extends its mission beyond veterinary care through the Mobile Health Outreach Program, delivering essential medical services directly to individuals experiencing homelessness. This initiative provides wound care, blood pressure checks, diabetes consultations, harm reductions supplies, and general health assessments, often within encampments and under-resourced areas.

Through our Mobile Health Outreach program, we address both human and animal health needs. By meeting people where they are, we remove barriers such as transportation challenges and fear of large establishments, creating an environment of trust and accessibility. Our team builds relationships that not only provide immediate care but also guide individuals toward ongoing medical support. Generous grants from organizations like the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation enable us to expand these outreach efforts, making a lasting impact on the health and stability of our community.

The Mobile Health Outreach team distributes essential supplies in encampments and unhoused communities, maintaining a separate Amazon wishlist from our veterinary outreach—support this work directly by visiting Amazon wishlist.
